indeed. the cardiovasular system is not meant for large people. what if the body doesn't actually have a height limit from nutrition. life expectancy would go down as a result

This. What advantages does being tall give you. Height is one of the most overrated human traits. Height is positively correlated with decreased life expectancy and many health issues as well as chronic pain and injuries. Tall people have higher BMRs so during times of low food resources or famine they're the first die off because they require a lot more calories than short people. So short people survive and pass their genes on. Also, people that have historically lived in high elevation are shorter for similar reasons. Shorter people are also more efficient and have better endurance and better reaction times. This makes them better hunters and overall just makes it easier to survive thus more likely to pass your genes on. Being shorter is OP and makes life a lot easier.
