If 'one' is a symbol like this: 1, it implies finitude, therefore the opposite of finitude is infinity, and since the digit 0 implies infinity it means 0 is the opposite of 1, in this sense at least.
If however, One is a word as a descriptor, then it implies a different aspect of opposition. For example, suppose you and your subconcious wanted to eat an apple.
