Anyway, Wilber has fully committed to the "Consciousness is the ground of being, matter erupts from it" side of the binary, the other side of which is "Matter is the ground, mind erupts from it". It seems to me that the death of his wife stewed him in anger and sadness, skewing his outlook on everything. He's right about his Atman Project idea though, where it seems that we look for things in ways that stop us from ever finding them, be it love, enlightenment, or joy. His understanding of dukkha and integration of it into his worldview is helpful to the reader, but ultimately his links to Tibetan Buddhism seem kind of vague, in that it implies you can just pick some religion that appeals to you, not ever feel like you've found truth or fact.
Peterson would never have been heard from if he hadn't courted controversy over the pronouns and compelled speech issue. He's guilty of Jesus smuggling and thought his book 12 Rules shows maturity and real experience, he's tried to benefit from exposure without ever alienating the far-right. I like his patience and rigour, and again, he has some helpful points, but he's a C-grade academic and writer compared to Wilber.
There, now go kill yourself you miserable hungry ghost.
