Influence, be it from culture, or a shitposting center like this, is what shapes your values and beliefs. If you browse /pol/, then it's most likely than not that the first sentence in my post triggered you. Why? Because you browse it (/pol/) and it has influenced your belief system to the point that reading a single sentence is enough to trigger your beliefs which are the result of the influence you exposed yourself to. The origin of the influence does not matter, you are the sum of your experiences and the sum of the beliefs you expose yourself to. Let's say you were born in China, you would be accustomed to the Chinese culture and the language while holding cultural beliefs that are custom in China. These are the result of the environment you were exposed to.
There is no meaning to life since we just are, the same way a tree is. Does the tree have a purpose or meaning for why it's there?
However, I understand why meaning is necessary for others. Without a narrative or meaning, most become hopeless. Why do you think that so many russians turned to religion during the collapse of the Soviet Union? I wouldn't be surprised if there was a rise in theism during the economic collapse the US went through and is currently going through.
