I've got a bone to pick with physicists, especially high energy theorists. You see, planck units are invented to allegedly be free from anthropological bias. To which I say, valid enough. You can construct any reference scales for units that you want. That's fine. Here's where I take issue: Where the fuck do you get off on ascribing physical meaning to these units?
>Planck Epoch is earliest time in the universe
>Planck Length is smallest distance in the universe
>etc.
All these planck units are taken as de facto physical limits of the universe. That's an anthropological bias, because you're asserting that the only fundamental constants used to describe the universe are the ones that we've invented in our models. That's absolute bullshit. Furthermore, it assumes a unification between gravity and particle physics can be made, for no reason beyond human arrogance that we've cracked all the mysteries of the universe with two models that MUST be unified, because it makes us feel better. There is no physical law that says these models must be unified.
There is NO defense for ascribing physical meaning to planck units.
