If doctors are so incompetent that they can only learn one subfield of medicine, then we shouldn't be putting much trust in them anyway. A doctor making claims with no supporting data is not a collection of "facts". If he provided the actual data of D-Dimer tests he performed (on both vaccinated and non-vaccinated patients) and provided legitimate evidence for why the presence of D-Dimer is an indicator of his "microscopic blood clots" then it would be information to consider. As it stands now he might as well be telling us he saw unicorns flying around the room.

This is true but that doesn't mean you shouldn't trust your doctor on most things. If you have an appendicitis a surgeon will cure you, if you have an infection a GP or IM will cure you.
What people (and a lot of doctors themselves) don't understand is that being a doctor is pretty much blue collar work. You aren't a scientist, you apply already proven techniques and medications.
The only research the vast majority of doctors will do in their lives is some epidemiological or statistical studies.
Saying doctors are scientists is like saying a plumber is a scientist just because he applies proven plumbing techniques.

Then there’s the problem of the data itself, as the Dr actually admitted that he no longer has the evidence because it got burned up in a fire. Just like I lost all my bitcoins in a “boating accident”.

Then there’s the reliability of how the study was actually conducted- there is no examination of background rates of positive d-dimer testing, and all of his data comes from patients from his own practise. So there could definitely be selection bias at play. The mechanism seems plausible, but everything else about it is suspicious as fuck.

Yeah, I agree, I was kind of just bustin' your chops, as they say. Also, I think there is a big difference in culture between clinical doctors, and doctors who do active medical research, often in cooperation with people like biologists and statisticians.
