You live in a time when you can get any idea to the public, collaborate with other thinkers, and even if it means you won't get credit for the idea (this is America, after all) it'll get out there. With a few keystrokes, you can have immortality if you have ideas of merit. That's the plus side.
On the down-side, why does America do such a piss-poor job of recruiting talent and making sure that the poorest among us have access to education, and why does it (since 1995) dismiss almost all revolutionary ideas as "too abstract" to be protected? Who has enough money to afford thousands in patent fees to protect an idea? What good is a patent system when patents can be stolen by the government under the Patent Secrecy Act of 1951 or systematically rejected and re-filed using different nomenclature by a puppet?
If you have ever shared an idea freely and seen it developed into a ubiquitous product (happened several times to me) then you are an intellectual slave. America is an intellectual slave holder. If you have a college degree and you make a certain amount of money, you are trading your intellectual labor and expertise for money, and you are therefore a slave.
How do we break the cycle of slavery? When is the United States going to stop letting critical advancements slip through their fingertips? When will they stop shitting on us?
