But guess what? Neural networks still work by doing math. The neural network is really just an interfacing wrapper for whatever the function is. For example, image recognition has dozens of techniques which work. A neural network may be employing all of them together, but its still moving numbers around. Its not magic goo. the brain/the neural network does have a system in place that it knows what 'direction' an image is. Some people may have stricter definitions of "objective coordinate system" than I might, but the neural networks are objectively keeping track of what they're processing. The "coordinates" used to reference image processing in the brain are likely very obscure and heavily encoded and compressed, it wouldn't be plainly obvious or visible... just like every other process handled by a brain. And ahem, we can actually look at the weights and structures of neural networks, we sure as fuck can't look at the larger structure or weights of anyone's brain. faggot.
