If I understand correctly, given enough care then you are very unlikely to die from covid. But covid deaths occurred when hospitals are overrun and people cannot be treated. This is why so many people died in March-April 2020 (because the hospitals weren't ready) and in the winter (because the hospitals were overrun).
If you're between 30-40 and got covid 5% chance you're gonna get hospitalized. The odds increase if you have other problems. This is much higher than the regular common cold, and when the hospitals are overrun then people starts dying.
