If that's no good, what about chlorine gas? That doesn't rely on it's aggregate properties like a bullet, but it's still fair to call a chlorine atom a particle, it's just a composite one, like an alpha particle.
If you insist on it doing damage kinetically, not through poison then protons and other ions are the only other real options, since everything else decays too quickly
