Today White history month celebrates: Benjamin Franklin, founder of one of history's greatest scientific nations and an exceptionally accomplished scientist himself. His early experiments with electricity earned Franklin awards from the royal society before the revolution and in addition to his discoveries in that specialty area, Franklin was also studied ocean currents, meteorology, optics, experimented with early refrigeration techniques as well as surface tension. Euler and Franklin were the only big names in science to recognize the accuracy of Huygens wave theory of light before the double slit experiment.
