The moon and mars are the only two places in the solar system Humans are likely to go. Everyplace else either has too much radiation or is too far or both. But mars is a good sized planet it would take generations to explore it all if people wanted to do that. I doubt they ever will.

Or it won't one of the two. We have no idea how well life will adapt to Mars (or lunar) gravity. We do know that essentially zero is a bad level of gravity for a lot of living systems. We don't know how much gravity is enough to make everybody happy.

Danger on Mars into the foreseeable future is much more likely to revolve around radiation, chemical contamination of habitats, and occasional accidents related to temperature or pressure.
