Typically by universe people mean the observable universe, which is finite in size. Beyond that we can only guess. The simplest is to just assume it's the same as the observable universe and it goes on forever so that's why some people say that.

tl;dw lots of disagreements, generally scientists believe the universe is "flat" and has no "curve", so that would mean it should be infinite.

Might as well be. There doesn't seem to be a limit to how much space can expand so even if it isn't infinite yet it will be eventually. We won't be able to see much more than we do now anyway.

It's infinite in the same way that 0.999...= 1. By the time you make your way over to where the edge should be, spacetime has inflated so much that you aren't any closer. So it's effectively infinite as well as technically infinite, but not magically infinite.

The observable universe is not a bubble because its definition is distance from us, which is an arbitrary point.

The full universe, if you could see it all at once and not be restrained by observation, is likely unimaginably large or infinite. Even that could have "edge", but outside of the edge is just more "spacetime" without anything inside of it to experience space or time. The spacetime itself is infinite. The stuff, not sure.

So I guess my question would be this: does the universe outside our "bubble" follow the same laws? For example, if you crossed that "edge" would you simply break down due to the laws being different? Where does "our" universe stop? Even if there's no definable "edge"?

I see no reason why the laws of physics would suddenly change when we go past our observable point but maybe there is something beyond what we can currently see that will change the way we view things, the multiverse could very well exist with our universe still only being a speck in the grand scheme of things, there are even theories on larger scopes beyond the multiverse and that is not even mentioning possible higher dimensions, who knows how deep the rabbit hole goes.

If you're talking about observable universe, that's basically as arbitrary as picking a random number of miles from your house.

If you mean THE universe, if there was anything to experience time or space outside of it, it would just be part of the same universe, just with a huge empty area of spacetime.

That's not how it works. There isn't infinite matter, or new matter being created. Matter is like the raisins in a cookie that increases in size infinitely but the raisins stay the same size and just get farthsr apart.

The universe could still be curved, it would just mean we can't detect the curve yet (or maybe never). If you assume this you have to assume it's at least a certain size (quite a bit larger than the observable universe but I'm not sure of the exact figure).
