What helps me come to terms with death is confrontation. Try to accept its effect on you and if you think about not existing, try not to indulge in the panic, just let it be. Crying/mourning my death helped a lot too, at least acutely. It is a logical necessity that perception will always exist, even though it’s not your own per se, but any existence will feel like itself, the only separating factor between you and others is your locality in space-time. I expanded my perception of self as the capacity for consciousness to exist, that lets me induce soothing thoughts and helps me with panic and despair.
