I dont work in IT I work in another department as a systems guy. I basically govern our tech solutions, listen to what users want, how they need them to be customised and set it up, basically an admin. I dont have to write a single line of code and make a nice salary. People like me are only going to be more in demand because you cannot replace this job, and no one gives a shit who writes the code.

So, if the AI will be writing the code in the next few years and assuming it'll be integrated if not already stabilizing with quantum processors, should we be learning quantum/AI info now, so by the time it gets implemented we will be in demand?or at that point we are just literally making contact with another species.

Real talk lads, can I make money with basic programming like the one you find in CS101? I could not care less about actually making apps and shit. I don't want to be a software developer nor maintain someone's website. I just want to solve problems like the ones you find on exercism, but it seems no one actually pays for doing such stuff.
