>>14431020Our culture evolved to have a tolerance to new and different ideas. This permitted the exploration of nature unshackled by ideological dogma, giving birth to the explosion of discoveries in science and the development of new educational, political and economic systems. These in turn promoted growth and wealth which could then be reinvested into research and innovation.
Interestingly this historical tolerance has now recently resulted in a regression towards intolerance. Ironically it is the intolerant factions who whine most loudly about intolerance while at the same time attempting censorship, removal of free speech, and the imposition of ideological political narratives within the education systems. As a result the advantage once enjoyed by Europeans is now becoming eroded.
