I had a hard time grasping the level of my peers' cognitive abilities, and so expected more than was reasonable. I soon discovered most adults were the same, and it all went down hill from there haha. Now I have a reasonable grasp of the spectrum of human intelligence and consciousness, and can tailor my interactions to each person I meet. I practice psychological therapy for fun, and am a neuroscience student.
Im an unusual type though: I am a polymath, and I score more than 1 standard deviation below normal on autism measures (essentially, normal is autistic compared to me). I have synesthesia, particularly spatial-ideasthesia when it comes to systems, networks and patterns.
