I think that we're very much indoctrinated by the systems that seek to profit off us once we're out of school. The medical system is a major player in that. The idea that you must inevitably be sick every year is stupid. Prior to COVID-19 I hadn't been sicker than a 12 hour soreness since 2010 because 2010 was when I got serious about my health and researched how to improve immune system strength.
The idea that your body falls apart in your 50s and 60s is just a sick idea. People treat themselves like shit and get arthritis and cancer and cardiovascular disease after living a lifestyle designed to inflict those things upon them.
The idea that humans are these incredibly vulnerable creatures who wilt in the face of illness is a sick idea. Stay snarky and enjoy being somebody's science experiment. I genuinely hope that nothing bad comes of it but I didn't think it was worth the risk.
That said, I'm not advocating against vaccines or using antibiotics when it's pragmatic. My point is that most of these wars can be won before the first battle (be healthy). My prompt recovery from COVID-19 and near lack of illness in the last 12 years verifies this. Half the people whose post-COVID vaccination experience I'm aware of had a worse experience after their second shot than I had with the actual virus.
