In fact nationally this graph is even worse fair representation if on county level since very small counties, typically red the vast majority of the time, have easily 10x greater influence on cases per 100k for each houhold that gets sick. Usually when one person gets covid the household gets it.
I guarantee they did not apply any weighting factors to accomodate small counties and average household sizes of cities vs rural.
