>>13552371This is easy to explain. Slap your hand hard on your face. Do you feel the impact? The heat? The sound? The jarring of your head? Your brain sloshing around? Your teeth clack?
This is where the energy goes.
As for two waves, what’s the medium? Wires? Feel the heat? Air/soundwaves? There’s always a 3dimensional vibration around where the energy of one wave hits another and neither is perfect (noise canceling headphones have a particular “whine” but that’s drowned out by your music).
The same is for ocean waves, one wave equaling the exact force and amplitude to stop another wave always produces vibrations, heat and light, but minuscule that you cannot see it before it’s worn into the environment - a hurricane here, on one side of the planet doesn’t effect weather on the other side. The planet is always radiating energy, losing air, expending energy in creating air (by feeding plants), etc.
