Sounds like they're scared that he will make good on his statement that he could start a new foundation and lure away all of SENS's talent. They'd still have the pot of money that has been donated to it over the years but I'm betting that's not a huge amount and that they're typically spending most of what comes in. The net effect would be that the new foundation would be mostly the same as the old one but the board and all of the senior management would be gone and replaced with new people who aren't so prone to falling for woke witch hunts.
