But after some time living in a modern society and enjoying the wealth that comes with living in a modern society their fertility crashes just like it did for all other modern people.
I am pretty sure the data is consistent with this. Like all countries have seen their fertility decline as they get wealthier. Black Americans have higher fertility in America, and they are poorer, and their fertility has been declining as they have been getting wealthier.
Just googling "migrant fertility rate", the first. article is this anti-immigration website arguing they have low fertility, lots of numbers in here:

Amish people and mormons have like 4 kids per woman, and I think those people are cool so I look forward to the future Amish / Mormon dominance of America.

I'll admit it is complicated, because maybe there is some upper limit to how much money they can make in a modern country, and maybe the modern country is so rewarding only because it didnt have migrants to begin with, but the simple first approximation story is that almost all the time when migrants move into a modern country they see huge income gains.
