that sums up most of high-energy theory up to 1990. are Jews overrepresented? yes sure but they are over represented in academia as a whole due to the fact that they are just rich and elite historically. and if your field worships Einstein, who was once offered the presidency of Israel, then clearly people affiliated with israel and judaism have a clear role model to follow into physics. the fact that israel and judaism have a deep historical connection to physics is the mechanism that causes lots of jewish men to be attracted to physics relative to other cultures. also their IQs are statistically above average but that’s a subdominant mechanism
