There's some extremely vehement solarfags who absolutely insist that everything legal is completely irrelevant and that it's physically impossible to build good reactors for reasonable amounts of money without going way past deadlines and that nuclear reactors in space will never be anything more than marginally better than RTGs and that you could never ever use one to power a Martian base and I could go on.
I am one of the people who support rolling out huge fields of solar on Mars because it'll (probably) work just fine without the legal hassle, but I've lost track of the number of times I've gotten into arguments with said aforementioned solarfags.
