>>13490301There's a minor conflict along philosophical lines every now and then it seems. Specifically around LGBTQ and progressive matters. Around the whole pronouns bullshit. Elon's incredibly smart, Grimes by no means stupid, but Elon's also an engineer and he's trying to build something that has never been done before in the history of the species with a goal that has been done at a more terrestrial level by the species in the past, but now aiming for beyond terrestrial margins. So in his mind, merit and capability is far more important than progressive representation forced by moral dictata and pronunciation relief. He's of the opinion that if you work hard, are smart, driven, and can bring your 200% game all the time, then eventually the diversity factor in a company will naturally balance itself out. This is in many ways true.
If you create a company with a specific goal, and you hire only the best (with ITAR compliance adhered to strictly), there are ENOUGH very smart, very talented, very capable people across the ENTIRE ethnic spectrum to satisfy ANY diversity quota you can think of. The issue of course, is that it doesn't satisfy arbitrary conditionals setup by the people who DO cry foul the loudest and incidentally happen to be all white, and have ironically extremist beliefs on what qualifies as progressive.
