Starting at RiD2015, for age's sake, you wouldn't have been born for Prime, so there would just be this weird series that assumed you knew who Starscream, Soundwave and why OP was this super giant important robot. Not only that but unlike Rescue Bots Academy it does not take the time to explain anything which happens in the opening that doesn't try to play off G1's.
G1 threw new characters at the viewer all the time but they got spotlight episodes anyway to explain their personalities, abilities, ect.
Sideswipe's just an ass and Strongarm's an idiot cop. There's not much connection and the one time I was unfortunate enough to see a 14 year old's opinion on the series, they were crushing
on Steeljaw.
I can't imagine being 7 and seeing Earthspark wanting more action and having to sit through life lessons where nothing happens, not having the understanding of G1 to know the importance of why quite literally, anything happens.
