He shows up pretty late into the game. like 20-30 hours, but after he joins the party here's cute optional events in the life sim portion of the game like you taking him to the movies, having him serve you coffee, and studying with him late into the night as he falls asleep before carrying him up to bed.
Needless to say I always made sure to put aside anything I was doing whenever he asked to hang out.
