It's ok, final chapter confirms that Kyou will be reborn as his sisters baby. Now he just has to wait a few years to get it on with his new dad, though he'll have to share him with his momsis this time.

I don't know why you'd be surprised by this, Rikimaru is a terrible indecisive piece of shit that is easily manipulated by his surroundings. The ending makes sense for him to just fall into the next person to manipulate him once Kyou dies.
He never loved or cared about Kyou or his friends, he just wanted someone to tell him how to live and what to do.
