>>3882664That's why as much as I dislike Irminsul itselfd since it introduces a lot of potential plotholes into Genshin's worldbuilding, I love what it did for Scara's own arc.
His "rebirth" is so interesting because while everything changed for him, at the same time, nothing did. He stayed the same, even his memories he got them all back, so he's pretty much back to the starting point from the beginning of the quest. Except for his mindset being different now, accepting and letting go of his past regrets (also symbolized by his new anemo vision, the element of freedom), a very similar arc that Kazuha had offscreen before we met him too. He can now accept what he did and what he couldn't do, but still not forget or forgive the ones who caused it (Dottore), while feeling grateful to us for helping him while also keeping that tension due to being past enemies, which makes his interactions with the Traveler so interesting.
For me it's the perfect conclusion to his story arc, and easily makes him one of the most complex and interesting characters in the game.
