>>3877543I mainly wanted a kiss because that would have been a high enough moment to warrant a big power up. Instead Isami just yelled out that him and Smith were in love and turned into a reality bending yellow repaint. Episode 9 had a great transformation but episode 12, the big show stopper, fell flat. And that wasn't the only problems. Other characters were pushed aside, the ending was rushed, Superbia died (literally why?) and don't even get me started on lorefags who were hoping all the illogical bullshit would be explained somehow.
But even if everything else lacked, the point of the show was Smith and Isami's relationship and them both giving each other courage by falling in love with each other. All they needed was a proper conclusion to that and a big robot fight and the finale would have done everything it needed to do. Instead they wasted time with a joke about Isami surrendering and a super boss that could have just been condensed down to an Ira power up because the super boss did not reveal anything groundbreaking.
