>>3863919Maybe it's some mahou shounen thing where certain humans with a very passionate desire to become heroes can get their wish granted by whatever sort of Kyubey is roaming through that universe and Bravern and Smith are both guys obsessed with heroism that eventually turn(ed) into robots.
That would actually explain Bravern's obsession with Isami. If he was a literal childhood friend of Isami before it would explain why he knows Isami, why he knows popculture from Earth, but maybe not anything from the last decade or so (hasn't referred to those yet) and why he knows that Isami knows them. Like when he threw the Abyss line Bravern expected Isami to remember the scene in question. The movie wasn't THAT popular after the 90s, but it would make sense for him to assume that Isami remembered it if they watched it together at one point. It would also explain why Bravern experienced a bittersweet feeling when he met Isami in ep. 1.
Maybe the green energy shit is something all hero bots have in common. Unless it's the color of a sin. If the sins and heroes are even different to begin with. Maybe the first are actually just fallen heroes or something.
