And yeah there's plenty of smug brats and mischevious cute guy characters with hidden depth, but he's so much more than that, there's a unique blend of characterization and backstory to thim that makes him have a really strong, characteristic personality. It's why he's always one of the most popular characters people talk to in AI chat sites.
Props to hoyo they just hit a home run on every aspect of him, while straying extremely away from the safe space of their normal innocuous character designs. He could have easily been a failure too (heck, half of the playerbase, waifufags mostly, still hates his guts) but somehow he's a niche character with an actually huge fandom. Either way, there'll probably never be a similar character to him that's gonna get this popular.
