Mutilating the penis degrades the quality of sex for both the male and any of his partners, due to the loss of the mechanical functions of the foreskin (the gliding function provided by the loose skin) and when performed on infants causes permanent brain damage in patterns related to traumatic stress disorders: paving the way for a variety of untreatable mental health problems later in life. It also robs a child of natural sexual development: the foreskin is supposed to remain tight around the glans until puberty when masturbation, sex, and the growth of the penis causes the foreskin to separate. Children who are sexually mutilated are more likely to develop sexual disorders and pathologies.
If someone were to suggest cutting the genitals of a female child, there would be an immediate discussion about how it's mutilation and rape, and that same impulse for justice should be default in discussions about mutilating male's genitals too, and the only reason "mutilating children is wrong" isn't the default position is some kind of trance people are in in which they just accept this shit as banality.
