The Dragon Knight is a divinely created being that is a third human, a third demon, and a third dragon. In order to act as the agent of Heaven in the mortal world, the Dragon Knight presents human but has the ability to transfer into a demonic dragonoid wielding incredible power. Each Dragon Knight saves the world in the shadows from threats that exceed the abilities of humans to deal with, but the ultimate battle exhausts the knight, ending his individual life and restarting the cycle of reincarnation. Baran saved the world as was his purpose but survived thanks to the aid from a lovely maiden. As such, Baran became the first Dragon Knight to reproduce. Thus, Dai has the improbable genetic heritage of two thirds human, one sixth demon, and one sixth dragon.
