The fact that "trapfag" appears first proves that the users got annoyed with trap posters first, with "barafag" being the retaliation from those users.
From my experience on this website, bara threads always have trolls in them who shit them up high heaven, there were times where the muscular threads would be spammed DAILY with trap images, trolls posts and other off topic shittery. It's not that the users stopped getting along, it's that a group of dedicated trap loving trolls want to make the website as unusable as possible. Which is exactly the behavior of twitter users and like websites.
It's at the point I don't even use this website to build collections of images anymore because it's just /r9k/ every other post. I'll just skim pixiv or a booru instead. Yaoi subreddits are looking like a good alternative at this point.
