>>3810455>since I still felt like a kid in middle schoolThat sucks that you felt a pressure to stop being a kid by the time you were in middle school. Since you are, by any definition of the term, still very much a kid when you're around that age. I can somewhat relate, in the sense that I remember starting to get that creeping dread that there were certain interests I was supposed to be growing out of (cartoons, video games, etc.), but wasn't. Looking back, I can recognize that it was just me trying to navigate how best to 'posture maturity' around my peers. It's a good thing to let go of as soon as possible.

>>3811709>dating a teenager honestly sounds terrible to me now. and dating a boy at age 20 has been exactly what I pictured "young love" to beI also didn't get very active in dating until my early 20's, and I agree that we didn't miss out on much when it comes to 'young love' in high school or earlier. You still get to have all the fun romantic exploration when you're an adult starting a new relationship, but you don't have to worry about the awkward inconveniences of dating in your adolescence.
>>3811766>omori definitely captures that small town adventure vibe with your best friendsI think this is what makes the game bury so deep in my head, even more so than the cute boys and angst. I miss that season of life when you could gather up one or two friends in the neighborhood and go have a mundane adventure, or just pass the time with video games and TV at someone's house.
