>>3799054>>3799057I'm inclined to disagree on him not taking similar methods, because Vash's absolute, skin melting rejection will have hit him hard, and he'll be doubling down on "if I want something how I want it I'll have to use force". Absorbing plants to remove resistance is an easy solution that I doubt Stampede Knives will be above taking, given he already collected tons to impregnate, use for experimentation, or exploit their dying energy bursts. A great many of the plants he collected we still don't know exactly what he planned to use for, and from the plans he expositioned to Vash it sounds like he doesn't think they have a full range of thoughts and feelings yet and only the next generation will. I'm willing to bet he'll be doing the womb burst in some form to patch himself up and assimilating others may still bring him closer to opening the gate "by himself".
Stampede isn't the same but it utilises manga events and concepts within its own context, and I can only see Stampede Knives going nutso arms race to force his brother into submission. S1 he was confident he'd beat Vash whatever happened, now he can't be so sure. His goals and personality are different but he's heading the same direction, with a whole lot more "I can fix you please become one with me and never leave me again, I can make you understand".
