Wolfwood is an undertaker who was originally hired for, well, undertaking the poor servants who didn't last long I presume, but Knives takes a liking to how fearless and arrogant he is in the presence of an almighty vampire. No lesser vampire would dare speak to him the way Wolfwood will. He snatches hold of Wolfwood and using his venomous fangs drinks from his neck, lulling a moaning Wolfwood into falling semi-conscious in his arms so he can cradle his warmth and feed all night.
He's interrupted by a jealous Legato, who wants a taste as well, and pulls a dazed but struggling Wolfwood away. He manages to get a bite in on the other side of Wolfwood's neck before Vash - gentle but still exceedingly powerful among vampires - commands him to stop and takes Wolfwood to a proper bedroom to heal up their mess with his spell laced kisses. Unlike with the other two's trickery, Wolfwood mumbles with genuine pleasure and relief in Vash's embrace.
Wolfwood's daily routine from then on becomes a game of being passed around by the greedy trio.
