>>3777744The really early concept for this franchise was aimed at an older age group and was intended to be more mature. I believe cat noir was intended to be more like catwoman, in that he was technically a villain but would often help the hero and had a sort of romantic thing going on.
Why they kept the latex when the show was adjusted for kids is beyond me
