>how often should I wash my hair? This depends on how oily your hair is, and if you're exposed to chemicals or grease at work or home. I have oily roots and dry ends so I wash my hair once or twice a week, three times in the summer.
>will I have to cut my hair for %thing? Unless it's the military or an explicit requirement the answer is most likely no, however you'll probably have to have it properly secured. Generally, just try to look presentable according to your job.
>I see things like porosity and density, what does that mean Density is how close together your hairs on your head are, this isn't thick or thin hair necessarily but definitely affects your specific plan/routine.
>Do I have thick/fine hair? That's very much a spectrum, and generally use your best judgement. Roll a single strand between your fingers, if you can barely feel it nor not feel it at all, it's fine hair. If you can feel it very much it's thick hair.
>I'm worried I look stupid In the awkward phase you will, there's just no getting around that. Hats and bobby pins will help but ultimately this is called the "awkward stage" for a reason.
>should I avoid shampoo? This is personal preference. However once your hair reaches past your shoulders you shouldn't shampoo anything but your roots/scalp.
>what are some other things I need? I would look at a deep conditioner, leave in conditioner and hair mask. If your hair is on the dry side, look at hair oils. Don't ever apply essential oils to your scalp directly, just don't. If you're using coconut oil, look at the freezing point, it's higher than you think.
>How so I make it look like this character? YouTube is a wonderful resource but also it's important to be original. Do what you want I guess?
>I got split ends, what do I do? These happen, they're unavoidable to a point. Make sure you have sharp scissors and trim them off every 6~8 weeks. Use an oil for the ends, trust me.
