If anything a cute protagonist just increases the interest in the game among players, games like Nier Automata or Atelier Ryza sold so well just because of their protagonist alone, Xenoblade 2 became so popular because of Pyra and Mythra, etc. Female characters are good for both men and women, men are happy that they got more waifus and women are happy because they have more representation and such so yeah, including a cute female lead is always good for your game's sales.
Like I said in my (now deleted) old post, there will always be more demand for females so you will never get rid of women on internet, videogames, or irl. I've even seen so many gays who love female characters(probably because they like feminine things) so just deal with it, anon, a fight against women is literally a fight you will never win.
