Most popular singers have been mostly women, though. Curiously enough, the hyper popular male singers, the kind literally everyone knows about even if you aren't a fan of their songs, like Justin Bieber or the BTS boys aren't 100% manly.

Women voice sounds good with many different emotions, their voice sounds good angry, scary, funny, serious, seductive, cute, sad, happy, etc. so the female voice is actually more versatile. Men only sound good when making angry, scary, funny or serious voices, so personally I'm ok with women voicing my shotas.
