At least there's one small blessing. Compared to other websites like Twitter or Pixiv, Tumblr doesn't remove the images itself outside of the occasional NSFW ones so individual posts do remain somewhere on the website. It's just the matter of trying to locate where it is. Tip: It's not 100% effective, but wildcards do work on the Internet Archive.
