There are exceptions like the characters from Houseki no Kuni. They're not human, made completely from crystals, so they don't have a sex, but they use male pronouns (because their mentor does and they wanted to be like him), act rather androgynous, and are voiced by females.
But in this case, Rimuru is explicitly male, so he belongs on /cm/. You've even called him a male yourself.
