And Kaworu embodying Eros is a fine twist, they took that aspect away from the girls and gave it to him.
I’d be more worried about Qworu being made irrelevant, not only does shinji care about the girls only, and leaves with the bimboiest one, but he also never expressed any kind off affection to Qworu and treated him distantly.
