>>3694766I don't know much about JP fandom aside from following a few artists and tags on the SV side. So far the fandom goods I see are acrylic stands, keyrings, stickers, bookmarks. Things that are quick to make and exchange with other fans for similar small items. This weekend's event has introduced a bunch of "print at konbini" doujinshi, posters, and crafts. Many comics and fics are posted openly or using poipiku locks. This might just be a reflection of it being a small community so they don't want to risk the expense of printing books.
Far as I know SV has no JP dub or merchandising, while TGCF and MDZS have had cafe promos, keyrings, wallscrolls, plushies, etc. But the Kinokuniya book chain has been promoting stock of foreign editions of MXTX, 2ha, and some priest novels.

The SV novel was fan translated to JP over 2021, and I believe from the amount of Moshang this year they finished the extras too. SEA artists I follow enjoyed watching the ripples in JP fandom as translations came out as you'd see a flood of fanart about one particular scene for a week, and then the next big chapter a week or two after that, coupled with loads of "aaaaa" and scream/crying reaction pics.
JP fandom hasn't quite jumped on the LiuShen bandwagon, or BingLiuShen. For the most part they're happy with Bingqiu and Moshang, and occasionally you see BingJiu or pining YQY. I think I've seen BingYuan (PIDW Binghe and modern setting SY) but they do it as a contrast to BingQiu.
Not so much memes as trends: maid outfits. Shitloads of maid outfits in the past month that spread to KR artists too. Bingpup is well liked and gets called "Papu-chan", and while they usually use "???", Papu-chan will say "shizun" in the middle of kana. Kemonomimi is even more popular and widespread.
