She thinks she's an abomination, angel hybrid, that doesn't belong to the community (ReiQ asks "Do you work on the village?) that she's a tool that protects the village, not a human.
She never had a family, just her Eva. She learns to not depend on her Eva, but still has her other problems as a clone and half angel.
So "Asuka is Asuka" she gets told just like "Ayanami is Ayanami" and gets that support from others (Kensuke and Mari who both show up in her instrumentality)
Again, the movie is dogshit and no asushinfag not even one Asuka ever ended up together with Shinji, because their relationship never worked and will never work
