Because of lines like that, and more that are in the DLC. And then there are the obvious parallels between Aogami and the MC and Nuwa and Yakumo, only driven harder by the fact they are the reps of the true end of the game. I'm sure people will think it was half assed out they didn't make this clearer, but I thought it was done well simply because Aogami is a robot that was stripped of nearly all his previous identity. You're basically connecting him to what was lost of his own soul and he's naturally just in love with that and you for giving that to him. I'd say he's pretty much the most wholesome and pure character in all of SMT. He's just pure love, comfort, and support. Which makes the true end all the more painful.
