A negligent god situation seems to be the theme so far, with Barbatos being an absentee, Morax faking his death, Beelzebul just hiding away to let her robot do the work for her.
I reckon Kusanali is a figurehead who interacts with the people while the real Archon is hiding away, doing something.
Some people say that the slimes reflect the Archons in some way (Anemo can fly around like Venti, Geo shield themselves like Zhongli, Electro come in pairs like Makoto and Ei) and if that's true, then the much like how the Dendro slime hides beaneath a big flower, the Dendro Archon is concealed by a flower; Kusanali is known as the Flower God.
