>>3619693i don't quite have an outline yet, but i would like to explore the possible reasons behind sunny's abnormal reaction in the face of danger and the impact it had on his sister. can you imagine jumping into a lake to save your drowning little brother only to notice he's awake, but not even trying to struggle? that's not something you can just shrug off. she would voice her worries at hero, only for him to forget about it after her death and remember years later, after meeting the gang at the lake; later, i might even have hero struggle between this knowledge and the newfound truth about mari's death.

anger issues running in the family is definetly an interesting concept... in the siblings' case, you could even argue that anger outburts are somewhat related to a perfectionist attitude. mari is more straightfoward about it, while sunny is subtle. in headspace, you can notice omori trying to play the keyboard, only to lash out as soon as he messes up and stop. in the real world, sunny's reaction to his imperfect displays during practice is to just get away altogether, which makes perfect sense for a perfectionist, as avoidance is a frequent way of coping with such shortcomings.
